Deal combines electronics distributor with small appliance & housewares specialist
<June 18, 2008>ArchBrook Laguna, a Carlstadt, NJ based distributor of consumer electronics and computer products to retailers, announced today it is merging with I. Lehrhoff & Company, a distributor of small appliances and houseware products. The agreement provides for I. Lehrhoff to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of ArchBrook Laguna.
Noting that the two companies have been working together on a strategic basis for about five years, ArchBrook Laguna Executive Vice President Peter Handy said, “The breadth and depth of our product line, coupled with the I. Lehrhoff portfolio, will allow us to grow vertically with products and customers that entirely complement one another.”
Arthur Lehrhoff, chief executive officer of I. Lehrhoff & Company, added, “This merger is a significant step to take our company to the next level of performance.”
